UK – Update 3: Ferrero recalls in the UK products intended for European market

FSA

Ferrero is extending its precautionary recall of a selection of European labelled Kinder products manufactured at the Arlon factory in Belgium, which might be contaminated with Salmonella. Investigations have found that some products, intended for the European market only and which have already been recalled by Ferrero in Europe, have been imported into the UK by UK importers not linked to Ferrero. This update does not replace earlier update 2. Both updates are valid.

Mallorca – Six hospitalised in Palma with Salmonella

Majorca Daily Bulletin

Six people have been hospitalised in Palma with salmonella.

The victims were infected after eating tortilla at a restaurant on the outskirts of the El Terreno neighbourhood of the city.

The Health department has launched an investigation to determine whether there are any other problems at the restaurant.

Hospitals and Health Centres must report all salmonella cases to the Ministry of Health, who carry out a survey to determine the source of the outbreak.

In August 2019, a Japanese restaurant in Calle Blanquerna was temporarily closed after a salmonella outbreak affected more than 100 people.
