The Danish company House of Denmark A/S has announced that it will withdraw three batches of Moomin fruit bars from sale. In one product lot, ochratoxin A has been measured above the amount considered safe. The recall concerns the product Frugi Moomin apple-blueberry 120 g fruit bar and its dates

  • best before 19.04.2024 (batch no. L10931)
  • best before 04/07/2024 (batch no. L18532)
  • best before 01.08.2024 (batch no. L21322)

The items in question have been on sale in the stores of the Tokmanni chain and the K group. According to the announcement, consumers can return the products to the place of purchase, where the price of the product will be refunded. There is  a notice on the matter on Tokmanni’s website.

India – 15 People Fell Sick With Food Poisoning In Adilabad

Adilabad/Hyderabad, Oct 7 (Maxim News): 15 people fell ill after eating contaminated food in Mendapelli village of Indrawell Mandal of Adilabad district.

At Mundem Baliram’s house, 15 people got food poisoning after eating a meal organized on the occasion of Pitramasa. They were shifted to Indravelli Primary Health Centre.

A group of wedding guests in Singapore recently came down with symptoms of gastroenteritis after attending a wedding banquet.

Of the 30 that fell ill, none were hospitalised, said The Straits Times (ST).

According to reports, the affected individuals had attended a wedding reception at The St Regis Singapore.

Speaking to ST, a spokesperson from St Regis said they were aware of the matter and have launched an investigation.

He elaborated that the hotel’s hygiene officer had examined the food preparation process.

They also provided food samples from the wedding reception for laboratory tests.

“The test results have been found to be in accordance with food safety guidelines,” said the spokesperson.

JOHANNESBURG – Police are urging Gauteng residents not to take the law into their own hands following the death of four children from alleged food poisoning this week.

Authorities are probing the mysterious deaths of two children aged between two and three in the West Rand.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the pair died after eating snacks bought from a nearby taxi rank.

The incident comes just a few days after the passing of two other children from Soweto – who became fatally ill after eating biscuits they allegedly bought from a spaza shop in Naledi.

India- Over 100 students in Gwalior fall sick after eating paneer; food poisoning suspected

More than 100 students of Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE) in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior fell ill due to suspected food poisoning on Tuesday night.

As reported by PTI, the students consumed a paneer (cottage cheese) dish in the mess and the food was being examined.
