Delhaize asks its customers not to consume and to return the product below to the store.

In collaboration with the AFSCA, Delhaize has decided to recall this product from consumers due to excessive aflatoxin content.

Every day, Delhaize carries out hundreds of internal quality checks to guarantee the quality and food safety of its products at all times.

In the meantime, Delhaize has already removed all affected products from the shelves and strengthened controls on the product and the supplier. Customers who have purchased this product are asked not to consume it. Customers have the option of returning the product in question to the point of sale where they purchased it. Reimbursement for each affected item is guaranteed.

Other products in the same assortment are not affected and can therefore be consumed safely. Delhaize would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused.

In agreement with the FASFC, Albert Heijn is recalling from consumers the ‘AH ongezouten pistachios’ of the Albert Heijn brand with the expiry date 07/2024.

The product contains too high aflatoxin content (b2, g1 to g2). There is no immediate health hazard. If consumed in large quantities over a long period of time, it can be harmful.  

Albert Heijn asks its customers not to consume this product and to return it to the point of sale. It will be replaced or refunded.

Patulin is a mycotoxin, a natural toxic substance, produced by a certain number of fungal species (fungi), mainly of the Penicillium genus which contaminate Pomacae (apples, pears, quince). Patulin has been detected as a contaminant in many fruits, vegetables, grains and other foodstuffs; however, the main sources of contamination are apples and apple products.

The product can be distributed by different points of sale in Luxembourg.
