Product: Block pâté (150g) from the Boni Selection brand.
Problem: Possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes.

During microbiological checks at the supplier’s, the potential presence of Listeria monocytogenes was observed in the “pâté bloc” product (150 g) of the Boni Selection brand, bearing the expiry dates (DLC) 21/2/2023, 26 /2/2023 and 28/2/2023 .

In consultation with the FASFC, Colruyt has therefore decided to withdraw the products concerned from sale.

Customers who have purchased this product are invited not to consume it and to bring it back to the store, where they will be reimbursed. In the meantime, all stores have removed the affected products from the shelves.

Possible symptoms of Listeria monocytogenes poisoning

Listeria monocytogenes infection can be dangerous for young children, pregnant women, immunocompromised people and the elderly. Possible symptoms are nausea and vomiting, abdominal cramps, diarrhea or constipation, headache and persistent fever (feeling like the flu). These symptoms usually appear within 2 to 60 days.

People who have consumed this product and who have these types of symptoms are invited to consult their doctor, notifying him of this consumption.

This recall follows a notification via the RASFF system (European Food and Feed Rapid Alert System) due to the possible presence of Salmonella.

The AFSCA asks not to consume this product and to bring it back to the point of sale where it was purchased.

Norenca NV is today, as a precautionary measure, withdrawing the following products from sale and recalling them from consumers due to the possible presence of Listeria.

Information for consumers

The company Norenca asks its customers not to consume these products and to want to bring them back to the point of sale.

Possible symptoms of food poisoning caused by Listeria are: fever, vomiting, severe headache, diarrhea and stiff neck within 12 to 48 hours or 30 days after consumption of the contaminated food. The risk of infection is higher in the elderly, children, pregnant women and immunocompromised people.

Norovirus can cause gastroenteritis in humans. The incubation period is 6 to 48 hours. The main symptoms are: vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, nausea, as well as less specific symptoms such as fever, headaches and general fatigue. Anyone who has consumed the product mentioned above and who presents these symptoms is invited to consult his attending physician by notifying him of this consumption.

In the meantime, the products have been removed from the shelves and a ‘Customer Reminder’ poster is displayed at the points of sale.

In collaboration with the FASFC, Delhaize has decided to withdraw this product from the market and to recall it from consumers due to the presence of Salmonella.

In agreement with the FASFC, Albert Heijn withdraws from sale the organic alfalfa “Biologische Alfalfa” of the Albert Heijn brand with expiry dates (DLC) 16/12/22 and 17/12/22 and recalls it from consumers more to the possible presence of Salmonella. Consumption of this product can potentially cause food poisoning and therefore pose a health risk – especially to young children, the elderly, people with weakened immune systems and pregnant women.
