Switzerland – Sweet Ground Paprika – Salmonella

FSVO

An official analysis revealed salmonella in paprika from the Hazra mark. As a health risk cannot be excluded, the Federal Office of Food Safety and Veterinary Affairs (FSVO) recommends not consume the product concerned. BAK-SAN GmbH immediately withdrew the proceeds from the sale and ordered a recall.

Iceland – Mycotoxin in fruit shakes – Patulin

MAST

The Swedish Food Agency warns against the consumption of several batches of Froosh strawberry, banana & guava shake (smoothie) 250 ml and 150 ml imported by Core wholesaler because the product did not pass the quality control of the production. The mold toxin patulin was detected too high in the product. The company has, in consultation with the health authorities of Garðabær, Hafnarfjörður, Kópavog, Mosfellsbær and Seltjarnarness, recalled the product.
