Product: “Turkey leg +/- 700g” from the brand VOLAE.
Problem: The presence of salmonella.

LDC is today recalling consumers of the product “Turkey leg +/- 700g” from the brand VOLAE.
As part of internal controls, the presence of salmonella was detected in the product.
As a precautionary measure, LDC has therefore decided to withdraw this product from sale and to recall it to consumers.

These are lots with the following characteristics:

Expiration date (BBD): 12/9/2021

These products were marketed in various Intermarché points of sale between November 30, 2021 and December 6, 2021. In the meantime, all the products concerned have been withdrawn from sale.

People who have consumed these products and who present symptoms such as fever, abdominal cramps or diarrhea, within 12 to 48 hours after consuming the food, are advised to consult their attending physician, notifying them of this consumption.

Food Poisoning Bulletin

Provigo grocery sushi in Montreal may be contaminated with hepatitis A, according to news reports quoting Montreal Public Health. That store is located at 6600 Saint-Jacques street in Montreal’s Notre-Dame-de-Grâce neighborhood.

The sushi products were made between November 17 and 20, 2021 and November 24 and 25, 2021. While the risk of transmission is low, this virus is quite contagious. People can get sick through person to person contact, through touching contaminated surfaces, and by eating contaminated food.
