An internal analysis has shown the presence of Salmonella in the product “Turkey roll 700G (frozen)”.

Other ALDI products are not affected by this product recall.

DESCRIPTION OF THE RISK

Possible symptoms of salmonella poisoning are fever, abdominal cramps and diarrhea within 12 to 48 hours of consuming the contaminated food. The risk of infection is higher in the elderly, children, pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems.

ADVICE FOR CONSUMERS

Please do not consume these products and bring them back to the store.

Brussels, 04-03-2021 – Following a control and in order to guarantee the safety of the consumer, the SOUFFLET company asks to withdraw from the trade the “basmati rice” of the Carrefour brand (1kg) sold in the GROCERY department of certain Carrefour stores in Belgium. This product is also being recalled from consumers.

Ochratoxin A is a mycotoxin produced by several microscopic fungi
(genera Penicillium and Aspergillus) and is naturally present in many
plant products around the world, such as cereals, coffee beans, cocoa and
dried fruits.

Only a large quantity of contaminated products can lead to health
problems.

All products have been withdrawn from sale. Some of these products were however marketed on the Belgian market before the withdrawal measure. It is therefore recommended that people who hold the products described above do not consume them and destroy them or return them to the point of sale where they will be reimbursed.

In agreement with the AFSCA, the Ferme d’Assonleville is withdrawing the product Apple juice (3l) of the Dupigny brand from sale and is recalling it to consumers. The product contains too high a patulin content.

The Ferme d’Assonleville asks its customers not to consume this product and to contact the farm of Assonleville at info@pressoir.net mentioning the quantity purchased and attaching a photo of the products.

During an internal control, the presence of Salmonella was observed in the prepackaged 500 g gyros bearing the expiry date (BBD) of 14/2/2021 .

In consultation with the AFSCA, Colruyt and OKay have therefore decided to withdraw the product concerned from sale.

Customers who have purchased this product are advised not to consume it and to bring it back to the store, where they will be reimbursed. In the meantime, all stores have removed this product from the shelves.

Possible symptoms of Salmonella poisoning

Possible symptoms of poisoning caused by Salmonella are fever, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea. These symptoms usually appear within 12 to 48 hours of ingestion.

Symptoms usually last 4 to 7 days, and most people recover without specific treatment. Young children, pregnant women, the immunocompromised and the elderly are among the groups at risk. In these people, the symptoms can be severe enough to require hospitalization of the patient.
