Natural organic vegan butter

Matvælastofnun warns against consuming two batches of vegan butter from Naturli due to the risk of mold growth. Kjarnavörur hf. who import the product are recalling it from the market, in consultation with the Health Inspectorate of the Hafnarfjörður and Kópavogur areas.

Matvælastofnun received information about the product through the RASFF European warning system on dangerous foods and feed on the market and alerted the health inspectorate.

The recall only applies to the following batches:

  • Product name: Natural organic vegan butter
  • Weight: 225 g
  • BBD: 22.09.2020 and 23.09.2020
  • Manufacturer: Grönvang Food Aps, Vejen, Denmark
  • Bar code: 5701977062118
  • Distribution: Hagkaup, Bónus, Krónan, Nettó, Kjörbúðin, Iceland, Fjarðarkaup, Melabúðin and Veganbúðin

 

Netherlands – Important safety warning roasted almonds salted 200 grams Aldi – Aflatoxin

NVWA

Aldi warns against roasted almonds, salted 200 grams with barcode 23046832 and best before date 03-2021. A check has shown that this product may contain too high a level of aflatoxin. Eating too much aflatoxin can be harmful to your health. Customers are therefore urged not to consume the product and to return it to an Aldi store.

UK – Sainsbury’s recalls by Sainsbury’s semi-skimmed UHT milk because of possible microbiological contamination

Sainsbury’s has taken the precautionary step of recalling by Sainsbury’s semi-skimmed less than 2% fat 1 litre UHT milk because of possible microbiological contamination that could lead to spoilage. This may make the product unsafe to consume.

Possible microbiological contamination may make the product unsafe to consume.

Action taken by the company

Sainsbury’s is recalling the above product. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product. Please see the attached notice.

Our advice to consumers

If you have bought any of the above product do not consume it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund when next visiting for groceries and other essentials. Alternatively contact Sainsbury’s careline on 0800 636262.

Matvælastofnun draws consumers’ attention to the recall of Drömmekage from Denmark by the company Ásbjörn Ólafsson ehf. imports. The recall is due to the possibility of mold in the cakes before the last day of sale. The company has recalled the cookies, in consultation with the Reykjavík Health Inspectorate.

The recall only applies to the following four batches:
