AGES informs about a recall by the company SPAR. The company initiated a recall of the product SPAR Natur*pur organic cream spinach 450 g on October 23, 2024:

SPAR continuously monitors the products of the SPAR brands to ensure the highest quality. During a routine quality control, contamination with salmonella was found in the “SPAR Natur*pur organic cream spinach 450g” with the best-before date (BBD) 11/2025 (batch numbers 91L4150 and 91L4151). For this reason, SPAR is recalling all of the products mentioned with the above best-before date. The affected goods with the respective BBD 11/2025 (batch numbers 91L4150 and 91L4151) have already been withdrawn from circulation.

Customers are asked not to consume the “SPAR Natur*pur organic creamed spinach 450g” with the best-before date (BBD) 11/2025 (batch numbers 91L4150 and 91L4151). All other SPAR Natur*pur organic creamed spinach products or creamed spinach products from other brands are not affected by this recall.

All customers who have purchased said products can of course return them to the nearest SPAR, EUROSPAR or INTERSPAR store or Maximarkt. Customers will receive a refund of the purchase price even without a receipt.

HOFER and its supplier Sorger Wurst- und Schinkenspezialität GmbH are recalling the article “Frauentaler Landjäger 200 g” due to contamination with EHEC (enterohemorrhagic E. coli).

The product Frauentaler Landjäger 200 g with the best-before date 19.11.2024 and the batch SOR4764247 of the supplier Sorger Wurst- und Schinkenspezialität GmbH is recalled by the supplier for reasons of precautionary consumer protection due to possible contamination with EHEC.

Due to possible contamination with EHEC, consumption of this product is not recommended.

The product was available in the HOFER KG branches in Tyrol, Vorarlberg, Salzburg, Carinthia, Styria and southern Burgenland. Sales of the product were stopped immediately.

The product can be returned to all HOFER stores. Customers will of course receive a refund of the purchase price even without a proof of purchase. This warning does not mean that the hazard was caused by the producer, manufacturer or distributor.

During ongoing internal quality controls, slight mold growth was found on the surface of some jars of the Darbo 70% Fruity Garden Strawberry 200 g product. As a precautionary measure for consumer protection, two batches of this product are being recalled. Consumption is not recommended because mold can be harmful to health.

The following product is affected by the recall:

The two batches are:

Best before date 21.06.2026 and lot number L 173 4

Best before date 24.06.2026 and lot number L 176 4

This information is located on the edge of the lid as follows:

SPAR continuously monitors the products in its range to ensure the highest quality. During a routine quality control, increased levels of ochratoxin A in the ingredient raisins were found in the “NUSSYY Organic Protein Bar – Protein Bear 35g” with the best-before date (BBD) of June 22nd, 2025, the “NUSSYY Organic Bar – Lazy Freddy 35g” with the best-before date of June 22nd, 2025, the “NUSSYY Organic Berry Muesli Ovenbaked + Protein 350g” with the best-before date of July 7th, 2025 and the “SPAR Natur*pur Organic Muesli Fruit Almond 375g” with the best-before date of April 6th, 2025. For this reason, SPAR is recalling all of the products mentioned with the above best-before date. The affected goods with the respective best-before date have already been withdrawn from circulation.

Customers are asked not to consume the above-mentioned products. Only the products listed with the stated best-before dates from NUSSYY and SPAR Natur*pur are affected.

Denns BioMarkt & Dennree Naturkost GmbH are recalling the item “Hofkäserei Belrieth AT SBV Dorfkäse Wiesenblume approx. 200 gr” for reasons of preventive consumer protection. Only goods with a best before date of May 3rd are affected. until May 9, 2024. The goods are available at Denns BioMarkt and in selected natural food stores.

The reason for the recall is possible contamination with listeria. Listeria disease usually manifests itself within 14 days of infection with diarrhea and fever. People who have eaten this food and develop severe or persistent symptoms should seek medical attention and report a possible listeria infection.

Denns BioMarkt and Dennree Naturkost GmbH are therefore taking the entire batch with the best before date of 03.05 as a precautionary measure. from sale until May 9th, 2024. All other batches are flawless and available in the usual quality and are safe for consumption.

Customers can return the product to the point of sale where they purchased it. The purchase amount will be refunded upon presentation of the product, even without a receipt.

For reasons of preventive consumer protection, Molkerei Gropper GmbH & Co. KG is recalling the smoothie “The pome & only – banana, grape, cranberry pomegranate, acai and other fruits”, with the best-before date of March 12, 2024.

The food smoothie “The pome & only – banana, grape, cranberry pomegranate, acai and other fruits” contains aronia juice, which is contaminated with patulin.

Patulin is a harmful substance (mycotoxin) produced by mold fungi that can cause nausea, vomiting and indigestion. Therefore, customers should definitely pay attention to the recall and under no circumstances consume the affected food smoothie “The pome & only – banana, grape, cranberry pomegranate, acai and other fruits”.

The affected food was sold at Norma and Penny. For reasons of consistent consumer protection, the Gropper dairy reacted immediately and removed the affected food “The pome & only – banana, grape, cranberry pomegranate, acai and other fruits” from sale. These can be returned to all Norma and Penny branches. The purchase price will of course be refunded, even without presentation of the receipt.

Other best-before dates or other foods from Gropper Dairy are not affected by the recall.

The Gropper dairy deeply regrets the incident and apologizes to its customers for the inconvenience.

The manufacturer IGOR srl is currently recalling the product “Italiamo Gorgonzola DOP, variety “dolce/mild”, 200 g” with the best-before date of February 24, 2024.

An analysis detected Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria monocytogenes can cause severe gastrointestinal illnesses and symptoms similar to flu-like infections. In certain groups of people (infants, small children, pregnant women as well as old and sick people) serious illnesses can occur. Due to this health risk, customers should definitely pay attention to the recall and not consume the affected product.

The affected product was sold at Lidl Austria. The item can be returned to all Lidl branches. The purchase price will of course be refunded, even without presentation of the receipt.

Only the product “Italiamo Gorgonzola DOP, variety “dolce/mild”, 200 g” with the best-before date of February 24, 2024 is affected by the product recall. Other products sold by Lidl Austria from the manufacturer IGOR srl as well as other items from the “Italiamo” brand are not affected by the recall.

The company IGOR srl apologizes to all those affected for the inconvenience caused. This warning does not say that the threat was caused by Lidl Austria.

Only goods with the best before dates (MHD) specified above are affected. The goods are available at Denns BioMarkt and in selected natural food stores.

The reason for the recall is the detection of salmonella. When consuming the products, symptoms such as diarrhea, headaches and stomach aches, general malaise and occasionally vomiting cannot be ruled out.
