Delhaize asks its customers not to consume and to return the product below to the store.

In collaboration with the FASFC, Delhaize has decided to withdraw this product from the market and recall it from consumers due to excessively high levels of aflatoxins.

In the meantime, Delhaize has already removed all affected products from the shelves and strengthened controls on the product and the supplier. Customers who have purchased this product are asked not to consume it. Customers have the option of returning the product in question to the point of sale where they purchased it. Reimbursement for each affected item is guaranteed.

Other products in the same assortment are not affected and can therefore be consumed safely. Delhaize would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused.

In agreement with the FASFC, Albert Heijn is recalling from consumers the salads ‘KLEINE SALADE QUINOA NOTEN’ and ‘MAALTIJDSALADE QUINOA APPEL’ of the Albert Heijn brand with expiry date (BAD) 03/10/2024. Pistachios in salads contain too high aflatoxin and ochratoxin content. There is no immediate health hazard. If consumed in large quantities over a long period of time, it can be harmful.

Albert Heijn asks its customers not to consume these products and to return them to the point of sale. They will be replaced or refunded.

For reasons of preventive consumer protection, Molkerei Gropper GmbH & Co. KG is recalling the smoothie “The pome & only – banana, grape, cranberry pomegranate, acai and other fruits”, with the best-before date of March 12, 2024.

The food smoothie “The pome & only – banana, grape, cranberry pomegranate, acai and other fruits” contains aronia juice, which is contaminated with patulin.

Patulin is a harmful substance (mycotoxin) produced by mold fungi that can cause nausea, vomiting and indigestion. Therefore, customers should definitely pay attention to the recall and under no circumstances consume the affected food smoothie “The pome & only – banana, grape, cranberry pomegranate, acai and other fruits”.

The affected food was sold at Norma and Penny. For reasons of consistent consumer protection, the Gropper dairy reacted immediately and removed the affected food “The pome & only – banana, grape, cranberry pomegranate, acai and other fruits” from sale. These can be returned to all Norma and Penny branches. The purchase price will of course be refunded, even without presentation of the receipt.

Other best-before dates or other foods from Gropper Dairy are not affected by the recall.

The Gropper dairy deeply regrets the incident and apologizes to its customers for the inconvenience.
