USA – Cargill recalls ground beef from Walmart stores because of E. coli contamination
Cargill Meat Solutions, a Hazleton, PA., establishment, is recalling more than 16,000 pounds of raw ground beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced.
The ground beef was shipped to Walmart stores nationwide.
“FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers’ refrigerators or freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase,” according to the recall notice.

The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) has communicated through the Coordinated Rapid Information Exchange System (SCIRI) an alert sent by the health authorities of the Valencian Community, due to the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in smoked salmon in different presentations and different brands.
The data of the product involved are:

- Batch number: The affected products all start with 30A4, to which a number and a letter are added at the end, for traceability purposes.

According to the information available, the products have been distributed in the autonomous communities of Andalusia, Castile-La Mancha and Region of Murcia, although it cannot be ruled out that there may be redistribution to other autonomous communities.
AESAN has transferred this information to the competent authorities of the autonomous communities, through the SCIRI, in order to verify the withdrawal of the affected products from the marketing channels.
As a precautionary measure, people who may have the above-mentioned product in their homes are advised to refrain from consuming it.
If you have consumed any of the affected products and have symptoms compatible with listeriosis (vomiting, diarrhea or fever), it is recommended to go to a health center.

Once Upon a Farm PBC of Berkeley, CA, is recalling Once Upon a Farm Organic Plant-Rich Meal, Curried Carrots & Beans because of potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
According to details published online by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the recall was initiated May 17, 2024, and is ongoing.
The recalled products were distributed in Tennessee, Georgia, Louisiana, Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, New Jersey and Texas.
Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still cause serious and sometimes life-threatening infections. Anyone who has eaten any recalled products and developed symptoms of Listeria infection should seek medical treatment and tell their doctors about the possible Listeria exposure.
