Canada- CFIA Recalls – Cheese – Salmonella – Fish – Clostridium botulinum

Mountainoak Cheese Ltd. is recalling Mountainoak Cheese brand Farmstead Premium Dutch Semi-soft cheese products from the marketplace due to possible Salmonella contamination. Consumers should not consume the recalled products described in the link above.

Please note that some product packages may not bear the same brand or product name as described above, or a brand at all. Also, these products may have been sold clerk-served from deli counters with or without a label or coding. Consumers who are unsure if they have purchased the affected product are advised to contact their retailer.

Elite Salads International is recalling Elite Salads brand White Fish from the marketplace because it may permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum. Consumers should not consume the recalled product described below.

USA – More Cheese Recalls – Listeria

Food Poisoning Bulletin

As part of an ongoing investigation, testing of cheese products by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) is presumptively positive for Listeria bacteria.  The products were made by Roos Foods of Kenton, Delaware.  While confirmatory testing is underway, DHMH advises consumers not to eat any cheese products made by Roos Foods, or foods that have been made with these cheeses.  Roos Foods include the following brands:  Santa Rosa de Lima, Amigo, Mexicana, Suyapa, La Chapina, and La Purisima Crema Nica.

Australia – Cheese Recall – Listeria monocytogenes

Ashgrove Cheese Pty Ltd has recalled 3 cheese products (Ashgrove Tasmanian Farm Cheese Wine Lovers selection, Ashgrove Tasmanian Farm Cheese Picnic Pack and Aldi Emporium Selection Pepper Cheese) due to Listeria monocytogenes.
Listeria
may cause illness in pregnant women and their unborn babies, the
elderly and people with low immune systems. The Ashgrove Tasmanian Farm Cheese products were sold in independent supermarkets in TAS and VIC and the Emporium Selection Pepper Cheese sold in Aldi stores in QLD, NSW, ACT and VIC. Consumers should not eat these products and should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.
