DekaMarkt immediately removes DekaVers beef chipolata, beef bratwurst, ground beef and Mediterranean beef sausage from DekaMarkt from the shelves. Checks have shown that these products may contain salmonella.

Safety warning various beef products Dirk van den Broek

Dirk van den Broek is immediately removing several beef products from the shelves as a precaution. An inspection in our own central butcher’s shop revealed that listeria had been found on one of the raw materials received. This raw material has been further processed into several meat products.

As a precaution, DekaMarkt and Dirk are immediately removing several meat products from the shelves. After checking in our own central butcher, it appeared that listeria was found on one of the raw materials received. This raw material is further processed in several meat products. DekaMarkt and Dirk are immediately removing the products below from the shelves. Dirk and DekaMarkt ask their customers not to consume these meat products and to return them to one of their stores.

As a precautionary measure, DEEN supermarkets is recalling the following product with immediate effect:

  • DEEN Surinamese chicken salad, 160 gram tray with best before 12-01

During a quality check in the DEEN butcher’s shop it was found that this product can contain the bacteria listeria. Consumption of this product can cause gastrointestinal complaints and can be harmful to health, especially for children, the elderly, people with a weakened immune system and pregnant women.

If you have this product with a stated expiration date at home, DEEN advises you not to consume the above product.

You can return the above products to the store, you will then be refunded the purchase amount. For questions, you can contact DEEN customer service on working days between 08:00 and 17:00 on telephone number 0229-259259.

Immediately, DekaMarkt and Dirk have bought Butchers Best / 1 Best Mixed Minced Stroganoff 400 grams with barcode code 2390600 (first 7 digits) and best before date 17-10-2020 from the shelves. After checking, it appeared that salmonella was found in this product.

Customers are urged not to consume the product. If not heated sufficiently, this product may pose a health hazard, especially to young children, the elderly, people with a weakened immune system and pregnant women. Consult your doctor or general practitioner for more information if you have health complaints after eating the said product.

Customers who have purchased the product can return it to a DekaMarkt or Dirk store.

Albert Heijn warns against AH beef burger 2 pieces with an expiration date 25 September 2020. The E.coli bacteria has been found in the product. The product is no longer in Albert Heijn stores, but customers may have this product in the freezer. Albert Heijn asks customers not to eat the beef burgers and to return them to an Albert Heijn store where they will be reimbursed for the purchase price upon return of the product.

Lidl Netherlands recalls the ‘Whole free-range chicken natural’ from the PiqueBroche brand. This concerns the free-range chicken with a best-before date of 10 August 2020. Salmonella was found during a quality check at the producer.

What if you bought this chicken?

Do not eat the chicken, but take it back to the store. You will then be reimbursed the full purchase amount.

The chicken was sold at the Lidl Netherlands branches. The ‘Whole free-range chicken natural’ from the PiqueBroche brand with a best before date other than 10 August 2020 is not involved in this recall and can be eaten.

Salmonella

Eating a product with a salmonella bacteria, if not thoroughly cooked, can cause fever, stomach pain and diarrhea within 6 to 48 hours of consumption.

In young children, the elderly, people with low resistance and pregnant women, a salmonella infection can lead to dehydration or hospitalization.

Consult your doctor or general practitioner for more information if you have health problems after eating the product mentioned.
