The presence of Listeria monocytogenes in some batches of the products listed above.
Symptoms caused by this organism can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick and diarrhoea. However, in rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications, such as meningitis.
Some people are more vulnerable to listeria infections, including those over 65 years of age, pregnant women and their unborn babies, babies less than one month old and people with weakened immune systems.

In agreement with the FASFC, Grand Frais withdraws the butter “La motte aux cristals de sel de Guérande” from the Ker Argoët brand from sale and recalls it from consumers because of the possible presence of Listeria Monocytogenes.
Grand Frais asks its customers not to consume this product and to bring it back to the point of sale where it was purchased with the receipt to request a refund.

California Splendor supplied recalled product to Costco stores in Los Angeles and Hawaii, and to two San Diego business centers. Scenic Fruit supplied recalled product to Costco, Aldi, KeHE, Vital Choice Seafood, and PCC Community Markets in specific states, and to Trader Joe’s nationwide.
On March 17, 2023, the retailer, Meijer, also issued press to voluntarily recall Made-WithExternal Link Disclaimer brand frozen organic strawberries from certain market store locations.

Illness usually occurs within 15 to 50 days after eating or drinking contaminated food or water. Symptoms of hepatitis A virus infection include fatigue, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, jaundice, dark urine, and pale stool. In some instances, particularly in children under the age of six, hepatitis A infection may be asymptomatic.

Pers Kjøkken AS is withdrawing the products Salami (sliced and rind), Fårepølse (sliced and rind) and Block salami rind. The reason is the detection of Salmonella in meat raw materials used for the production of batches of these products.
The products are sold in a number of grocery stores and online stores. A total of 576 kg of the sliced products have been sold, while the size of the product lots of skins has not been stated. Pers Kjøkken AS reports that the product has now been withdrawn and is no longer available in stores.
Pers Kjøkken AS asks consumers who have purchased the product to throw it away or return it to the store where the product was purchased.
The goods are withdrawn following the detection of Salmonella in the meat raw materials that were used for the production of the batches of goods in question. Salmonella is a bacterium that can cause illness in humans and that can survive in food that has not been heat-treated.
