Why is the product being recalled?

Danish Crown has detected the bacterium Salmonella in minced beef.

There is therefore a risk of infection with Salmonella. The symptoms of infection with Salmonella are diarrhoea, abdominal pain, fever, headache and possibly nausea and vomiting. The illness can last from a few days to several weeks.

Why is the product being recalled?

During routine checks of the humus varieties at the Belgian producer, Salmonella was detected in the raw material. There is therefore a risk of the bacteria also being in the finished humus, and thus of infection with Salmonella.
