Following an inspection, NATS RAWLINE is withdrawing the product “2 RAW CAKES CHOCOLATE & HAZELNUT” FROM THE NATS RAWLINE BRAND and is recalling it from consumers due to the possible presence of salmonella. 

Product Description:

– Sales Period: 26-03-2024 to 12-11-2024

The product was distributed through various points of sale.

All products have been withdrawn from sale. However, some of these products were marketed on the Belgian market before the withdrawal measure. It is therefore recommended that people who hold products described above do not consume them and destroy them or return them to the point of sale where they will be reimbursed.

Food poisoning caused by salmonella results in gastrointestinal disorders often accompanied by fever within 12 to 72 hours after consuming
the contaminated products. These symptoms may be aggravated in young children, immunocompromised individuals and the elderly.

People who have consumed the products mentioned above and who present these symptoms are invited to consult their doctor and report this consumption.

Why is the product being recalled?

During routine checks of the humus varieties at the Belgian producer, Salmonella was detected in the raw material. There is therefore a risk of the bacteria also being in the finished humus, and thus of infection with Salmonella.

The symptoms of infection with Salmonella are diarrhoea, abdominal pain, fever, headache and possibly nausea and vomiting. The illness can last from a few days to several weeks.
