German Aldi Recalls Salmon over Salmonella Fears
German discount supermarket Aldi has recalled a salmon salad over fears it may contain salmonella bacteria. Customers were told not to consume the product via the Aldi website on Thursday evening.

Further Peanut Butter Products Recalls – Salmonella
Talenti Gelato is recalling Talenti Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Gelato. The peanut butter used in this product has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.
To date, there have been no reported illnesses attributed to Talenti Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Gelato and the recall does not include any other flavors. This recall is being initiated because the peanut butter used in the product is supplied by Sunland, Inc., which has issued a national recall of some of its products due to possible contamination with Salmonella.
Uneviscerated Fish – Possible Clostridium botulinum
KRASNYI OKTYABR located at 60 20th street, Brooklyn, NY 11232 is recalling Beer Set Dried Rudd discovered by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors during a routine inspection and subsequent analysis of the product by Food Laboratory personnel that confirmed the fish had not been properly eviscerated prior to processing.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem. Consumers who have Beer Set Dried Rudd are advised not to eat it, but should return it to the place of purchase. Consumers with questions should contact the company at 718-858-6720.
Whole Foods Spring Roll Recall – Salmonella
Whole Foods Market is recalling two items from a single store because the products were made from Sunland peanuts that may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. The products were sold in the grab and go section and at the full service chef’s case. The store is at 2955 Kirby Drive in Houston, Texas.

CFIA – Popcorn Products Recall – Listeria monocytogenes
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning the public not to consume Popcorn Indiana brand popcorn products described below because these products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
The following Popcorn Indiana brand popcorn products, imported from the USA, are affected by this alert:

Taipai Costco Recall (Foppen) Salmon – Salmonella
TAIPEI–Costco Wholesale Corp. has pulled all smoked salmon processed by Dutch company Foppen from its chain stores in Taiwan, following foreign news reports stating salmonella-tainted smoked salmon supplied by Foppen has sickened hundreds of people in the United States and Holland, a health official said yesterday.
The smoked salmon in question is imported under the name of Costco’s store brand Kirkland, but has been processed by Foppen, said Tsai Shu-chen, division head of the Food and Drug Administration under the Cabinet-level Department of Health.
Whole Foods – Ricotta Salata – Listeria monocytogenes
Whole Foods Market is recalling ricotta salata sold in 21 states and Washington D.C. because it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. This is an update of a previous recall. There is a nationwide outbreak caused by that bacteria that has sickened at least 18 people in 12 states and D.C
Further Peanut Butter Product Recalls -Salmonella
Gretchen’s Shoebox is recalling products because they were made with Justin’s Nut Butter that has been recalled for possible Salmonella contamination. The Justin’s product was made with Sunland ingredients that have been recalled and linked to a Salmonella Bredeney outbreak in the United States.
Xan Confections is recalling 13 of its gourmet peanut butter chocolate products because they may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. The products were made with Sunland ingredients, which have been recalled and linked to a Salmonella Bredeney outbreak in the U.S.
Late July Snacks, LLC, is recalling Organic Mini Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers becasue they were made with Sunland peanut butter, which has been recalled for possible Salmonella contamination. One of Sunland’s products, Trader Joe’s Valencia Peanut Butter, has been linked to an outbreak of Salmonella Bredeney in the United States that has sickened at least 30 people.
