ICA recalls ICA Gorgonzola Piccante 200g with batch number 259404601 and best before dates 06.08.2024, 13.08.2024, 20.08.2024, 03.09.2024. The product is recalled as a precautionary measure when listeria was found by the supplier

– At ICA, we carry out careful quality checks on all products we put on the market. We take the incident seriously and are now investigating together with the supplier how this could have happened and how we can ensure that it does not happen again, says Niklas Warén, Head of Quality at ICA Sweden.

In the event of the recall, the products are stopped in the cash register and cannot be purchased. ICA regrets the incident and urges customers who have purchased the product to return the product to the ICA store where it was purchased, complain via ica.se or contact ICA’s customer contact on phone 033-47 47 90. Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness. Pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk. Although infected pregnant women may experience only mild, flu-like symptoms, the infection can lead to premature delivery, infection of the newborn or even stillbirth. In severe cases of illness, people may die.
