During microbiological checks at the supplier, the presence of Listeria monocytogenes was noted in the product Boni Selection focaccia tomato basil with the use-by date 07/10/2023.

In consultation with the FASFC, Colruyt Meilleurs Prix and Okay have therefore decided to withdraw the product concerned from sale.

Customers who have purchased this product are invited not to consume it and to return it to the store, where they will be refunded. In the meantime, all stores have removed the affected products from the shelves.

Following an inspection and in order to guarantee consumer safety, CARREFOUR requests to withdraw from commerce the product “Tomato basilic focaccia duo” (2X165G) of the Carrefour The Market brand, sold in the delicatessen section of certain Carrefour stores in Belgium, and the recalled from consumers following the possible presence of listeria monocytegenes.

All products have been withdrawn from sale. Some of these products were, however, marketed on the Belgian market before the withdrawal measure. It is therefore recommended that people who have the products described above do not consume them and destroy them or return them to the point of sale where they will be refunded.

People who have consumed the product mentioned above and who have a fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches, are invited to consult their doctor and report this consumption. These symptoms may be aggravated in young children, immunocompromised individuals and the elderly. These symptoms may suggest listeriosis, a disease with an incubation period of up to eight weeks.
