Norway – Smoked salmon, branded Sotra Sjømat, is being recalled due to the discovery of Listeria

The product is sold via the specialist grocer Troye as local food in Western Norway and it is about 250 kg.

Small amounts of Listeria Monocytogenes have been detected in the product. This means that the manufacturer cannot guarantee that the amount of Listeria in the item at the end of its shelf life cannot be harmful to health.

Listeria Monocytogenes can be dangerous for pregnant women and people with compromised immune systems.

Sotra Sjømat encourages customers who have bought the product to throw it away or return it to the store.
