Risk statement

The possible presence of Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC) in the products listed above.

Symptoms caused by STEC organisms include severe diarrhoea (including bloody diarrhoea), abdominal pain, and sometimes haemolytic uremic syndrome, (HUS), a serious condition that can lead to kidney failure and can be fatal.

Action taken by the company

Samworth Brothers Manton Wood is recalling the above products. Tesco and One Stop have issued a recall notice to their customers. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products. Please see attached notices.

Our advice to consumers

If you have bought any of the above products do not eat them. Instead return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund or contact the Tesco Customer Service on 0800 505 555 / One Stop Customer Service on 01543 363 133.

  • Restaurants and food retailers in Arizona (AZ), California (CA), Colorado (CO), Hawaii (HI), Nevada (NV), New York (NY), Oregon (OR), and Washington (WA) that have recently purchased oysters and bay clams from growing areas in Netarts Bay and Tillamook Bay, OR harvested on or after 5/28/24, and all shellfish species from growing areas in Willapa Bay, WA: Stony Point, harvested between 5/26/24 and 5/30/24; Bay Center, harvested between 5/29/24 and 5/30/24; and Bruceport, harvested between 5/29/24 and 5/30/24.
  • Consumers in AZ, CA, CO, HI, NV, NY, OR, and WA who have recently purchased oysters and bay clams harvested from growing areas in Netarts Bay and Tillamook Bay, OR harvested on or after 5/28/24, and all shellfish species from growing areas in Willapa Bay, WA: Stony Point, harvested between 5/26/24 and 5/30/24; Bay Center, harvested between 5/29/24 and 5/30/24; and Bruceport, harvested between 5/29/24 and 5/30/24.

USA – Costco Frozen Cookie Dough Recalled For Possible Salmonella

Food Poisoning Bulletin

Costco Frozen Cookie Dough in several flavors, along with Panera Cookie Dough and Rise Baking Company Cookie Dough, are being voluntarily recalled for possible Salmonella contamination. There is no mention about whether or not any illnesses have been reported to the company to date in connection with the consumption of these products, since the recall was posted on the FDA’s Enforcement Reports Page, and not the regular recall page. The recalling firm is Rise Baking Company, doing business as South Coast Baking of Springdale, Arkansas.
