Iceland – Salmonella in Peking ducks

The Norwegian Food Agency warns against consuming one production batch of Peking ducks because salmonella was detected in the product. The company has recalled the product and sent out a press release.

The recall only applies to the following production batch:

  • Brand: Julius
  • Product name: Whole duck (Peking duck)
  • Batch number: 3482255
  • Barcode: 5706911023637
  • Net weight: 2.4 kg
  • Storage conditions: Freezer product
  • Manufacturer: Geia Food A/S
  • Country of manufacture: Poland (duck reared, slaughtered and packed)
  • Name and address of the company that is recalling the product: Adfgan, Skútuvogar 7-9, 104 Reykjavík.
  • Distribution: Hagkaupi and Bónuss stores all over the country.

Bónus and Hagkaup customers who have purchased the product are advised not to consume it and are advised to get in touch with Supplies. On behalf of the manufacturer of the product, Adfgan apologizes to Bónus and Hagkaup customers who may have been inconvenienced by this.
