
The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition has become aware, through the Coordinated System of Rapid Information Exchange (SCIRI) , of an alert notification sent by the autonomous community of Madrid regarding the presence of Salmonella in frozen cooked nécores of the Pescanova brand.
The data of the products involved are:
- Product name (on the label) : ultra-frozen cooked Nécora
- Trademark: Pescanova
- Lot number: 40224
- Best before date: 10/2024
- Temperature: frozen
According to the information available, the distribution of the product involved has been carried out entirely in establishments of the FROIZ supermarket chain and its franchisee Mercamas, with implementation in the autonomous communities of Galicia, Community of Madrid, Castile-La Mancha and Castile and Leon.
AESAN has transferred this information to the competent authorities of the autonomous communities through the Coordinated Rapid Information Exchange System (SCIRI), in order to verify the withdrawal of the affected products from the marketing channels.
People who have products affected by this alert at home are advised to refrain from consuming them.
In the case of having consumed any of the products from the affected batches and presenting symptoms compatible with salmonellosis (mainly diarrhea and/or vomiting accompanied by fever and headache) it is recommended to go to a health center.
