Iceland – Salmonella in Tahini

Salmonella was detected in one batch of Tahni Sesam Mus and the Middle Eastern market has stopped selling and recalled 800g jars from consumers of Tahini Sesam Mus. Salmonella is a bacterium that can cause serious infections in humans. 

The FDA received information about the product through Rasff’s European Rapid Alert System for Hazardous Foods and Feed.
