The Public Health Agency of Catalonia (ASPCAT) has become aware through the Coordinated Rapid Information Exchange System (SCIRI) of an alert notification regarding the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in sausages from Italy.
The Italian health authorities have notified this alert through the European Food Alert Network (RASFF) in the context of an outbreak of listeriosis in Italy and other European countries, with no known cases associated with Spain at the moment.
