UK – FSA Recall – ASDA Curried Chicken Snack – Listeria monocytogenes

Asda is recalling its own-brand Curried Chicken Snack Pack with a ‘use by’ date of 17 July 2013 on a precautionary basis because Listeria monocytogenes has been detected in the product and may pose a health risk. If you have bought this product, do not eat it. The Agency has issued a Product Recall Information Notice.

Asda is recalling the above product because Listeria monocytogenes has been detected in the product. Listeria monocytogenes can cause illness in certain groups of people, including pregnant women, unborn and newborn babies, and anyone with reduced immunity, particularly the over-60s.

Product recall notices will be displayed in store to tell people about the recall. If you have bought this product, with the ‘use by’ date listed above, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store it was bought from for a full refund.

No other Asda products are known to be affected

UK – FSA – Lemon Thyme Recall -Salmonella

Sainsbury’s is recalling its own-brand Lemon Thyme because salmonella has been detected in one pack during routine testing. The Agency has issued a Product Recall Information Notice.

The product being recalled is:

Product: Sainsbury’s Lemon Thyme, 15g Date codes: All date codes up to and including 21 January 2013

If you have purchased this product, please do not eat it. You can return it to the nearest store for a full refund.

Sainsbury’s is recalling all date codes, up to and including 21 January 2013, of this product because salmonella has been detected in a pack, following routine testing. Customer notices will be displayed in stores to tell consumers why the product is being recalled.

No other Sainsbury’s products are known to be affected.

PepsiCo is recalling some of its Tropicana Kids Orange Juice Drink multi-packs because they contain only water rather than the orange juice blend. The water is affected by microbiological contamination. If you have bought the product, don’t drink it. The Agency has issued a Product Recall Information Notice.

The product being recalled is:

  • No batch or date codes, no branding

PepsiCo has recalled the affected product. Customer notices have been displayed in stores, explaining why the product has been recalled.
