In 2022, the number of reported zoonoses in humans generally increased compared to the two previous years. There were about the same number of cases as in 2019 before the Covid pandemic. The most frequently recorded zoonoses in humans were campylobacteriosis and salmonellosis. In both diseases, contaminated food is the main source of the disease.
