| The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) has been informed by the Autonomous Community of Catalonia, through the Coordinated System for the Rapid Exchange of Information (SCIRI), of the presence of Salmonella in fuet of several brands.People who have the products included in this alert at home are recommended to refrain from consuming them. |
The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition has been made aware through the Coordinated System for the Rapid Exchange of Information (SCIRI), of an alert notification sent by the health authorities of Catalonia regarding the presence of Salmonella in fuet.
The company itself has reported the incident to the competent authorities, in compliance with the legislation and in order not to make unsafe food available to the population.

People who have products affected by this alert in their homes are recommended to refrain from consuming them.
In the event of having consumed any of the products of the affected batches and presenting any symptoms compatible with salmonellosis (mainly diarrhea and/or vomiting accompanied by fever and headache), it is recommended to go to a health center.
