Daily Mirror

A holiday giant has hired a team of undercover detectives in a bid to crack down on food poisoning scams on all-inclusive holidays to Spain, the Mirror can reveal.

The drastic move by online travel firm Jet2holidays follows reports rogue “ambulance chasers” are luring Brits into making false claims for gastroenteritis costing the industry millions in payouts.

This summer major Spanish hotspots popular with Brits including the Costa del Sol, Majorca and Tenerife will be patrolled by private eyes to catch the cowboy claims management companies touting for business.
