USA – Recall of Aldi Season’s Choice Frozen Peas for Listeria Updated

The recall of Season’s Choice Frozen Sweet Peas for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination has been updated to include more products with a different best by date. The original recall for 1,920 packages was posted on April 4, 2016. There have been no reports of illness connected to this issue.

The new recall is for 1,568 packages of 16 ounce Season’s Choice Brand Frozen Peas packed for Aldi, Inc. They were distributed in seven states: Iowa, Illinois, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Florida, and Wisconsin at the retail level. The product is distributed in poly bags and has the UPC number 041498164294. The best by date for all of the product is 09 2018. The product codes include DC27063 PLAA6206, DC27063 BNAD7266, DC37063 BNAD7266, DC47063 BNAD7266, DC57063 BNAD7266, DC57063 BNAF6236, and DC57063 BNAF6236.

The recall was a result of product testing by the State of Florida. The company has stopped distribution of the product.
