Greek Food Safety Authority (EFET) Regional Directorate in Crete, following Official Food Control Program and in collaboration with the General Chemical State Laboratory, A’ Chemical Service in Piraeus, proceeded to official sampling of “chili pepper” seasoning powder product. This product was found to contain high concentration of aflatoxins. Therefore EFET issued the product recall.
