Sweden – Hamburger and Salmonella

Swedish supermarket chain Coop has recalled its in-store brand of fresh hamburger meat after a routine check revealed traces of salmonella in the meat.

Supermarket chain Lidl has also stopped hamburger sales by the Svea Lantkött brand, after meat supplier Scan stated that the packages may contain salmonella

Germany – Lidl Recalls Almond Kernels – Possible Salmonella

Lidl Germany is recalling Almond kernels (Mandelkerne ganz) because the product may be contaminated with Salmonella.

The recalled product is Almond kernels (“Mandelkerne ganz, 200 g Beutel”) packaged in 200g bags with best before date: 08/12/14 and 26/12/14 and Batch number: L4132A 16:00 to L4132A 19:00 and L4150A 02:00 to L4150A 05:00.

No other Lidl products are known to be affected.
