The food recall warning issued on September 11, 2014 has been updated to include additional product information. This additional information was identified during the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s (CFIA) food safety investigation.
Advantage Health Matters is recalling Organic Traditions brand Sprouted Flax Seed Powder and Sprouted Chia & Flax Seed Powder from the marketplace due to Salmonella. Consumers should not consume the recalled products described below.

Vancouver Coastal Health has issued a public safety advisory, warning consumers not to consume Bruno’s Best ready to eat seafood products because they could be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum toxin. During an inspection, it was discovered that the products were not processed using a validated method consistent with food safety standards.
Four different varieties of fish products sold under the brand name “Bruno’s Best” have been recalled. They were sold at Finest at Sea Ocean Product’s 4675 Arbutus and 1805 Mast Tower, Granville Island Locations in Vancouver, British Columbia, between June 1 and October 7, 2014. The recalled products are Bruno’s Best BC Octopus Conserva, Bruno’s Best House Smoked BC Sardines, Bruno’s Best House Smoked Pacific Oysters, and Bruno’s Best Tuna Confit
