As part of the official control of foodstuffs, RVPS Dolný Kubín carried out samples of the product.
The presence of Salmonella Typhimurium was detected in the examined sample.
The product in question was consigned from Poland in a quantity of 150 kg. The product is already past its expiration date, it is not on the market.

In agreement with the FASFC, Imperial Exotic Fruits is withdrawing Gülcan brand Ground Ginger from sale and is recalling it from consumers due to the possible presence of Bacillus Cereus.
Imperial Exotic Fruits asks its customers not to consume this product and to return it to the point of sale in which it was purchased, where it will be refunded.

In agreement with the FASFC, Norenca N.V. is withdrawing the marinated turkey skewer products (3 and 16 pieces) of the Norenca and Spar brands from sale and recalling them from consumers due to the possible presence of Salmonella.
Norenca asks its customers not to consume this product and to bring it back to the point of sale.

Information for consumers
Possible symptoms of a foodborne infection caused by salmonella include fever, abdominal cramps and diarrhoea within 12 to 48 hours of eating the contaminated food. The risk of infection is higher in the elderly, children, pregnant women and immunocompromised people.
People who have consumed these products and who present this type of symptoms are invited to consult their doctor without delay and report this consumption.

Following an inspection and in order to guarantee consumer safety, Carrefour is asking to withdraw from the market the “Tahini sesame puree” of the Carrefour Bio brand sold in the grocery section of certain Carrefour stores in Belgium and is recalling it from consumers due to the possible presence of Salmonella.
Product Description:
All products have been withdrawn from sale. However, some of these products were marketed on the Belgian market before the withdrawal measure. It is therefore recommended that people who have the products described above do not consume them and destroy them or return them to the point of sale where they will be reimbursed.
Foodborne illnesses caused by salmonella result in gastrointestinal disorders often accompanied by fever within 12 to 72 hours of consuming contaminated products. These symptoms may be aggravated in young children, immunocompromised individuals and the elderly. People who have consumed the product mentioned above and who have these symptoms are invited to consult their doctor and report this consumption.
We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience caused.

On the basis of the notification of the operator Metro Cash & Carry Slovakia s.r.o., RVPS Senec carried out an inspection in the operation of Metro Cash & Carry Slovakia s.r.o., Senecká cesta 1881, 900 28 Ivanka pri Dunaji, in order to verify the reported non-compliant product.
The presence of Norovirus was detected in the examined sample.
The non-compliant product was delivered from the Czech Republic in the amount of 5.43 kg by HOPI CEE Fish Hub s.r.o., Zděbradská 74, 251 01 Říčany, Jažlovice.
Metro Cash & Carry Slovakia s.r.o. withdrew the product in question from sale and informed its customers about the possibility of returning the product.

Austria, recall 16/04/2025
For reasons of consistent consumer protection, the supplier Wojnar’s Wiener Leckerbissen Delikatessenerzeugung GmbH is recalling BILLA IMMER GUT HAMSHUKA HUMMUS GEMÜSE 210G, sold up to and including 15.04.2025.
In the course of a routine check, tahini/sesame paste Salmonella spp. was detected in the raw material. So far, no contamination has been confirmed in the product produced with it. Nevertheless, it cannot be completely ruled out that a potential health hazard from Salmonella spp. may exist in the ready-to-eat product. As a precautionary measure, the entire stock of the potentially affected product, which was sold up to and including 15.04.2025, is being recalled – the consumption of the said product is therefore not recommended.
The inventory of the affected product was removed from sale.
The supplier Wojnar’s Wiener Leckerbissen Delikatessenerzeugung GmbH regrets the incident and apologizes to all customers for the inconvenience caused.
The warning does not state that the health risk has been caused by the producer, manufacturer, importer or distributor.
