Why is the product being recalled

Salmonella has been detected in the product. The symptoms of infection with Salmonella are diarrhoea, abdominal pain, fever, headache and possibly nausea and vomiting. The disease can last from a few days to several weeks.

The use-by date has passed, but some consumers may have chosen to freeze the product for later use.

The supplier Pur Alpenrauch is recalling the following product for reasons of consistent consumer protection:

“Arctic char from Austria / Pur Alpen Rauch 75g” with the GTIN (EAN): 9003309070751.

In the course of a routine check, a possible contamination with listeria was detected. It cannot be ruled out that there is a potential health hazard. It is therefore not recommended to consume this product with the mentioned best-before date / batch.
