| The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) has been informed by the autonomous community of Catalonia through the Coordinated System for the Rapid Exchange of Information (SCIRI), of the presence of Salmonella in sliced vegetables of the La Tabla and VALLDAN brands.People who have the products included in this alert at home are recommended to refrain from consuming them. |
The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) has been made aware through the Coordinated System for the Rapid Exchange of Information (SCIRI), of an alert notification sent by the health authorities of Catalonia regarding the presence of Salmonella in sliced fuet of the brands La Tabla and VALLDAN.
The data of the products involved are:

- Brand Name: La Tabla
- Product Appearance: Sliced
- Lot Numbers: L5136 & L5140
- Unit weight: 125 gr.
- Temperature: Refrigerated
- Product Name: Sliced fuet
- Brand Name: VALLDAN
- Product Appearance: Sliced
- Lot Number: L5134
- Unit weight: 125 gr.
- Temperature: Refrigerated
According to the information available, the initial distribution has been to the autonomous communities of Catalonia, Castilla y León, Madrid and the Valencian Community, althoughit is not ruled out that there may be redistributions to other autonomous communities.
This information has been transferred to the competent authorities of the autonomous communities through the Coordinated System for the Rapid Exchange of Information (SCIRI), in order to verify the withdrawal of the affected products from the marketing channels.
People who have products affected by this alert in their homes are recommended to refrain from consuming them.
In the event of having consumed any of the products of the affected batches and presenting any symptoms compatible with salmonellosis (mainly diarrhea and/or vomiting accompanied by fever and headache), it is recommended to go to a health center.
