Tenax Sylt A/S is recalling three different varieties of fish cakes as Listeria monocytogenes has been detected in the products.

If you have one of the products, you should discard it or return it to the store where it was purchased.

Where are the products sold

First Price Fish Cakes are sold in SPAR, MENY, LET KØB and Min Købmand throughout the country.

Fiskemandens Fiskefrikadeller is sold in Rema1000 throughout the country.

Mermaid Fish Cakes are sold in ABC Lavpris.

Why are the products being recalled

The bacterium Listeria monocytogenes has been detected in the fish cakes. Infection with Listeria bacteria can cause flu-like symptoms, fever and headache and, in rare cases, gastrointestinal problems.

What should you do as a consumer

The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration advises consumers to return the products to the store where they were purchased or to discard them.

If you experience symptoms in connection with the consumption of the products, you should contact your own doctor.
