What was recalled: 4 oz. bags of Beefy Munchies dog treats, Lot #449294 and “Best By” date of Oct. 25, 2019
The dog treats were distributed to retailers in Washington, Michigan, North Carolina and Colorado.
“No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem,” the FDA reports, adding, “The potential for contamination was noted after routine sampling and testing by the Colorado Department of Agriculture revealed the presence of Salmonella in two 4-oz packages of Beefy Munchies.”
