In a shocking incident, 30 children of a school in Jogeshwari had to be hospitalised after eating khichdi as they began vomiting and complaining of stomach ache on Wednesday.
The children, all of whom study in Stds V to VII at Balvikas School in Jogeshwari’s Sarvodaya Nagar, were served the khichdi as part of the mid day meal scheme. Soon after eating the food, they began showing symptoms of food poisoning. They complained of stomach ache, giddiness, burning sensation in the stomach and they started vomiting.
