A mother and her son died of food poisoning in the district’s Tarash upazila on Saturday night.
The incident happened around 9.30pm at Parchimpara village under Madhainagar union.
The deceased were identified Sona Bhan (35), wife of Tofazzel Hossain, and her son Sohag (4).
Family members said that the duo fell sick after taking food at night. They were taken to Tarash Upazila Health Complex but the duty doctors declared them dead.
