UK – Possibility of Clostridium botulinum

Manufacturing controls that could potentially affect the safety of the products listed below could not be demonstrated satisfactorily by the company.

The issue relates to controls to prevent the growth and toxin production of Clostridium botulinum. Botulinum toxin may cause a serious form of food poisoning called botulism and can be fatal.

A recall from customers is being carried out as a precautionary measure.

These wraps are sold in all B&M retail stores.

Action taken by the company

Lytham Foods is recalling the above products. Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in all B&M Retail stores that are selling these products. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and informs them of what to do if they have bought the product. Copies of the point-of-sale recall notices for both of the above products are attached below.
