NORPAC Foods, Inc. of Salem, Oregon is voluntarily recalling two (2) frozen private label vegetable items, Natural Directions Organic Mixed Vegetables and Natural Directions Organic Green Peas, because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
Ontario, CA — Ajinomoto Windsor, Inc. is voluntarily recalling various Not-Ready-To Eat frozen food items due to the potential for these products to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. This voluntary action is being undertaken in cooperation with the United States Department of Agriculture and the US Food and Drug Administration because the recalled products contain vegetables that are part of the recent CRF Frozen Foods recall.
Harris Teeter Voluntarily Recalls Harris Teeter Frozen Organic Corn and Harris Teeter Frozen Mixed Vegetables
The Pictsweet Company is voluntarily recalling certain frozen vegetable products because they contain Green Beans or Green Peas recently recalled by CRF Frozen Foods, a Pictsweet ingredient supplier.
On May 5th CRF Frozen Foods informed Pictsweet they were initiating a recall on all lots of Green Beans and Green Peas supplied to Pictsweet due to the potential risk they may contain Listeria monocytogenes (Lm),an organism that is widespread in the environment. Lm can contaminate food and cause mild to severe illness to persons who consume food containing Lm. Persons at greatest risk are newborn infants, the elderly, and persons with weakened immune systems. ConAgra Foods is recalling some Watts Brothers frozen vegetables sold at Costco and Trader Joe’s Sweet Corn for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. These products are part of the recent CRF Frozen Foods recall. Although there is an outbreak associated with CRF Frozen Foods, there are no illnesses reported to date connected to these particular recalled products.
CRF Frozen Foods is expanding is recall of all of its frozen vegetable and fruit products for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. There is an outbreak of listeriosis linked to some of these recalled products that has sickened at least eight people in three states.
The recall now includes all of the frozen organic and traditional fruit and vegetable products manufactured or processed in CRF Frozen Foods’ Pasco, Washington facility since May 1, 2014. All affected products have the best by dates or sell by dates between April 26, 2016 and April 26, 2018. You can see the huge list of products recalled at the FDA web site. Operations have been suspended at that facility since April 25, 2016.
