Sofia. More than 36 children have been hospitalised in the Bulgarian capital city Sofia with food poisoning after being on a camp.
“16 children were received at the St Anna Hospital, while more than 20 – at the Hospital for Infectious Diseases,” St Anna Director Dr Nikolay Dobrev announced speaking for bTV.
“The kids we received are teenagers, aged 13-14. They complain of stomach indispositions, typical for food poisoning,” the doctor explained.
Asked whether the young patients were transported from a children’s camp in the town of Pravets, Dr Dobrev said: “I am not acquainted with the details and I cannot answer the question.”
Fortunately, all the children are in stable condition.
Dr Dobrev explained that the children had a common dinner and consumed a meal with chicken meat.
