USA – Green Beans – Listeria monocyotgenes

In the FDA’s weekly enforcement report for December 21, 2015, there is a recall for frozen French Style Green Beans, produced by Lakeside Foods and  packaged under the Giant Eagle and Shur fine labels for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. This report includes recalls that are not released to the public in the usual manner. There is no word on whether or not any illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of these products.

The recalled products are Giant Eagle French Style Green Beans in 16 ounce poly bags (454 grams). The UPC number is 30034-00978 and the best by date is 09/2017. Also recalled is Shur fine French Style Green Beans in 16 ounce (454 gram) packages. The UPC number on that product is 11161-13478 and the best by date is 09/2017.
