The number of Vibrio vulnificus cases in Florida has risen to 30 for the year with additional cases reported from Hillsborough and Bay counties, health officials report.
Hillsborough County, in west-central Florida now has 5 cases, while Bay County in the panhandle has now recorded 3 cases.
The state death toll due to the bacterial infection remains at 11.
In 2014, Florida reported 32 cases of V. vulnificus with 7 deaths.
