A prominent Cardiff hotel has been closed due to a viral outbreak after 26 guests were struck down with a mystery illness.
The Angel Hotel, in Castle Street, has temporarily shut its doors from today following the outbreak which is believed to be gastroenteritis.
A spokeswoman for Angel Hotel owner, The Hotel Collection, said the hotel was closed as a ‘precautionary measure’ and would re-open ‘as soon as possible’.
Cardiff Council said that they are investigating 26 cases of gastroenteritis.
