Kroger has posted a recall for Private Reserve Rope Hung Smoked Scottish Salmon sold in 4 ounce packages. This affects Fred Meyer stores.

The product could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria. There is no word on whether or not any illnesses have been reported to date, but listeriosis, the illness caused by this bacteria, can take up to 70 days to appear.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Discard in a sealed container so other people and animals can’t eat it, then wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. You can also return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
