The Public Health Agency of Catalonia of the Department of Health of the Generalitat of Catalonia (ASPCAT) has notified the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) -through the State Food Alert Network ( SCIRI ) – the withdrawal of different heat-treated meat products produced by the EMBOTITS D’OIX SL establishment in Girona, due to the presence of Listeria monocytogenes and the lack of sanitary guarantees.
The recalled products are as follows:
- Egg sausage
- White bull
- Black sausage
- Liver sausage
- Sausage garlic parsley
– Trademark: D’OIX
– Lots involved: 2106; 2107; 2108; 2109; 2110; 2111; 2112; 2113; 2114.
– Identification mark: SE 10.04277 / GE (CE)
At the moment, these products have been distributed exclusively in Catalonia.
ASPCAT is carrying out the actions to verify the withdrawal of the product from the market, the investigation of the causes and the application of corrective measures in the manufacturing establishment, which has suspended its activity at the request of this Agency.
To date, no affected person has been detected in Catalonia.
As a precautionary measure, it is recommended that people who have the batches of the products indicated above in their home, refrain from consuming them and return them to the points of sale.
In the case of having consumed these products from the affected batches and presenting any symptoms compatible with listeriosis (vomiting, diarrhea and fever), it is recommended to go to a health center.
